John J. Seaberg, MD, FACSDr. Seaberg was born and raised in rural Colorado and finished his high school education in South America. He was moved by the hard lives of many of the Colombian people and impressed by the efforts of the town doctor to improve the lives of the people in his community.

From a young age, Dr. Seaberg knew that he wanted to work with his hands and after his experience in South America knew he wanted to pursue medicine. He was admitted to the University of Oklahoma’s medical school in 1975 after making the third highest MCAT score in the entire state. Though he didn’t realize it at the time, the art classes he took during college helped him develop a critical eye and the summers he spent rebuilding motorcycles helped develop his hand dexterity. Pursuing surgery was a perfect fit.

Dr. Seaberg completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Missouri in 1985 and his Plastic Surgery Residency in 1987.

Dr. Seaberg has been board certified by The American Board of Surgery since 1985 & The American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1987. He holds a certificate for Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand.

He has been in private practice since 1987, and has happily called Columbia, MO home for the last 20 years.

When he’s not performing surgery, Dr. Seaberg enjoys fly-fishing in Alaska, walking the Katy Trail with his faithful 15-year-old puppy, and attending classical music performances at the beautiful Missouri Theater.

Nothing gives Dr. Seaberg more satisfaction than helping patients transform their lives through plastic surgery. He is fully committed to helping you look and feel your very best.
